Our Founder
Dr. Rohit Malhotra didn't just grow into veterinary medicine. He was born into it. His family served for generations as Mahouts, the hereditary caretakers and protectors of Asian elephants. Their role was not performance or entertainment. It was welfare: ensuring the health, safety, and dignity of the animals in their care.
When their final family elephant, Rani, passed, Dr. Malhotra made a promise: to become the kind of doctor who could prevent unnecessary suffering for elephants, and for all animals. That promise became his purpose.
From elephant conservation programs in rural Asia to veterinary hospitals across the United States, Dr. Malhotra has spent two decades caring for more than 300 elephants internationally, mentoring dozens of veterinarians, and leading high-performing general, specialty, and emergency practices.
He is not an MBA who reads dashboards from a corporate office. He is a board-certified veterinarian who jumps in on the floor during busy shifts, works alongside your techs and front desk staff, and earns trust the only way it can be earned in a clinic: by showing up.
